About the Lazuli Bunting:
 Native to the western half of the United States, down into Mexico, Lazuli Buntings are often found in weeded fields, eating seeds off grasses and shrubs.
The Lazuli Bunting overlaps its range with the Indigo Bunting. These two species are known to hybridize in nature, creating plenty of confusion for bird watchers!
Named for Lapis Lazuli, an intensely blue semi-precious stone.
